It is a lot easier than you may think to makes Sugar Free Chocolate Fondue.
The best part about this fondue, of course, that you can still dip your favorite fondue treats into it.

Sugar Free Chocolate Fondue

We must be getting close to Valentine's Day because all that I can think about at the moment is the vision of a strawberry with melted chocolate dripping off of it.
My vision really is not that bad of an idea. You most likely agree since you are here reading this.

There are many things other than strawberries that can be dipped into chocolate fondu.
I went with strawberries since they are a popular thing to dip when you are thinking about what to enjon on Valentine's Day. However, you could also dip most any other fruit (apples anyone?), or cookie, or just about anything.

Obviously, we will be using chocolate in this recipe.

Are you shocked? Well, hold on because the chocolate that we will use in this recipe, since it is a sugar free recipe, is a sugar free chocolate. You can find sugar free chocolate chips easily online.

This recipe also calls for heavy cream.
If you want the most luscious/decadent result than go ahead and use heavy cream. However, if you are trying to avoid the downsides of heavy cream than consider using an alternative. You could use a mix of 3 parts milk to 1 part butter. I have even used Greek Yogurt.

By the way, I also have a few recipes that you may enjoy while you are here.
Be sure to see my sugar free caramel sauce recipe. There is also a sugar free hazelnut sauce recipe as well as a sugar free chocolate syrup recipe.

  • If making this on a stove- use a double boiler method - boil water in the bottom. In the top (pot or bowl) warm the heavy cream (or substitute), remove from heat and stir (whisk works well here) in remaining ingredients.
  • Single sauce pan method- over medium heat, warm your heavy cream (or substitute) and chocolate stirring constantly. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in your remaining ingredients. I usually spray the pan with nonstick before adding the ingredients for melting.
